The Arts Center of Montross is excited to present
The MixUp Art Show, a lively and eclectic exhibition celebrating the beauty of variety in the arts. From painting and sculpture to mixed media and beyond, this show brings together a little bit of everything—reflecting the creativity and imagination of our community of artists.
The exhibit runs October 5 – November 2, 2025, with artwork delivery on October 1 from 12:00–5:00 PM.
Artists are invited to submit up to five pieces, and both 2-D and 3-D works are welcome. With no entry fee and a wide range of artistic expression, The MixUp Art Show promises to be a vibrant celebration of talent and vision.
Artists, there’s no cost to enter! The Arts Center takes care of all sales, with only a 20% commission—making it easy for you to share your work.

Location: The Arts Center of Montross
We welcome up to 5 entries per artist (2-D or 3-D accepted).
There is no entry fee. The Arts Center retains a 20% commission on all sales.
Artist of the Month, Anne McCahill
The Arts Center is pleased to feature Anne McCahill as our March Featured Artist. A native of France, the birthplace of many world-renowned artists, Anne came to the U.S. as a Fulbright scholar and later became an American citizen, making Virginia her home. After a 30-year teaching career, she found inspiration in botanical art and earned certification in Botanical Illustration at Lewis Ginter, where she also taught embroidery classes. Her work spans from delicate flower portraits to illuminated letters, landscapes, and the timeless Tree of Life design.
Anne is passionate about preserving the art of needlework as a meaningful and creative tradition. She believes that, even in today’s age of automation, embroidery remains a valuable form of artistic expression—one that brings accomplishment, joy, and a connection to future generations. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced stitcher, Anne encourages creativity and originality in design.
