A native of Trinidad, Andrea has spent most of her adult life in the Washington DC area and Colonial Beach, Virginia. She received her Fine Arts training at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) and the Corcoran Museum.
Andrea works in a variety of media, including oils, acrylics, pastels, ink, and watercolor. Having exhibited in prestigious galleries in the DC area, such as the Torpedo Factory and Zenith Gallery, she is well-known in Colonial Beach for her multi-media works currently on display at the Jarett Thor Gallery. Andrea’s paintings on driftwood are especially treasured by locals and visitors alike.
Andrea also is a much sought-after book illustrator. Currently, she is collaborating with a local author to illustrate a 1930s-era story about pearl divers in Qatar.
Andrea resides in Colonial Beach with her husband and two sons. She looks forward to working with her students to awaken ‘the artist within’, and discover the joys of painting!
