Class: Introduction to Abstract Art (water media) Time: 10 – 4:00 Price: $85
Teacher: Connie Canby
As abstract artists, we are often misunderstood because many of our viewers want things to look familiar and to represent scenes or objects. Abstract paintings do represent feelings, events, pictures, people, places, things, and experiences. As artists, we fragment and enlarge part or some or all of these and translate them into designs relying on color, shapes, textures, and skills. Thru this series of painting experiments, you may experience a new freer more expressive artist and your already “famous art” to have a renewed enthusiasm, and vibrant feel and look.
Using imagination, exercises and meditation Connie walks us through projects that will help us take a deeper look at our “true “self” through the use of color and abstract works of art which reflect our feelings/emotions and thoughts.
Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks included Max 15 Students! This number could change based on current COVID guidelines.
CONGRATULATIONS to Connie Canby who won an Honorable Mention in the Mattawoman Creek Art Center's Annual Spring Show.
