About the Event Date: June 16, 17 18 Class: Learning to See, Beginning Drawing Class Time: 3 – 5:30 p.m. Price: $100 Teacher: Connie Canby “A drawing is not a thing but an ACT” Have you always wanted to draw and have tried yet you are not happy with the results? Well, you don’t have to have four years of formal art classes to love your drawings. Drawing is a way of seeing so that as you are working you learn to improve your ability to see and capture your subject very quickly artistically and more accurately than if you use formulas and measurements. No textbook concentration on forms and masses and how they relate to one another no looking for structure and movement. Instead, we will use the pencil as an extension of our eye, and wherever our eye goes the pencil will follow. In no time and some practice with instruction, you will be drawing the most delicate and intricate objects and patterns and portraits. Three drawing classes will give you the basics skills along with your home practice. Then you can continue on your own or delve into further drawing skills in ongoing monthly classes. Connie will work with each of you to determine the best supplies you need for the ongoing classes. Please bring a pencil and drawing paper. All other supplies provided! Max 15 Students! This number could change based on current COVID guidelines. Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks included.
