TAC NEWS AND VIEWS

Things are happening so rapidly that it is hard to know where to start, but here goes --

Don't forget Anne McCahill's Introduction to Fiber Art on February 25. We have a few spaces remaining. Everyone will take home a small piece of fiber art they have created.

We will schedule her Art in Stitches soon.

Our free classes have been so successful that we have had to schedule seconds which was a surprise to us.

THANK YOU ALL!

Ronda Rotz' Introduction to Acrylics class was so successful that we have scheduled the next class you asked for -- "Collage Painting and Gelli Plate Printing".

As The Center has a limited number of gelli plates, we have limited spaces and we have priced the class in two ways -- If you don't have a gelli plate, it's one price and if you like using the gelli plate, you can purchase it after class. If you have a gelli plate, the price is different.

This is going to be a fun-filled day and you will go home with lots of papers to continue your creative experience.

Most supplies are included. See the Supply List on the website!

On 3rd Fridays, we will host our "Let's Talk Art" events. These will have different formats. Sometimes we will bring in local as well as renowned speakers to talk about their art and artistic journey, speakers from other galleries or museums, and other times we will talk about new mediums or trends in the art world. We want to make these to be informative as well as interesting. If you have any ideas for programs or if you would like to speak, please let us know. These events are to help and entertain you!

TEASER – we have a famous artist coming in May. Don’t have exact the dates yet but probably in late May. He spent some of his youth in Montross and wants his work shown here. Stay tuned as you won’t want to miss this and as soon as we have firm dates and times, I will let every know.

Our first "Let's Talk Art" was our own Dell Ford narrating the life story of his mentor, Clarence Sivers. There was standing room only. The video of Dell's talk is now on our YouTube Channel -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEYqSlE6Woo&t=43s.

We are following with "It's all about BRUSHO" on March 17. Not only will we talk about it, but you will also get to play with it. This is an RSVP Event as we have to have supply packets for everyone!

Check the calendar on our website for information on other upcoming events. You can find it under the "About" tab. I also try to add events that I think you might be interested in. So keep checking as it is updated often! We still have a number of classes to add not only to the calendar but also to the website, so please keep checking.

Also, please check out our YouTube Channel where we have videos of our teachers, artists, interesting people, and general information. This channel is growing every month as is its number of visitors. Be sure to subscribe so you don't miss additions. YouTube/TheArtsCenterofMontross or you can see the videos on our website.
